On May 16, 2026, I had the opportunity to attend the Freedom Boat Club of the Southern Blue Ridge Mountains Spring Fling Social at beautiful Lake Chatuge and it was another reminder of what truly makes Freedom Boat Club unique.
Yes, Freedom Boat Club gives families easy access to the water without the stress of boat ownership. But what often stands out even more is the sense of community that comes with the membership.
This Spring Fling was the perfect example.
Set under the pavilion along the shores of Lake Chatuge, members gathered for an evening of small bites, drinks, conversation, and excitement for the upcoming boating season. The atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming, and centered around one thing: bringing people together through a shared love for life on the water.
One of the highlights of the evening was getting an exclusive preview of the brand-new 2026 Barletta Tritoons. Seeing the newest additions to the fleet up close only added to the excitement for another summer full of adventures.

“Kick off the season with us at our FBC Spring Fling, an evening all about good company and getting excited for everything ahead on the water.”
That statement perfectly captured the spirit of the event.
